Daphne McClellan
Hi! I'm Daphne.
I am a marketing professional specialising in providing freelance services for the third sector and small businesses.
I have a degree in public relations and marketing communications (2026) and started my freelance consulting business after six years experience in the third sector across three organisations.
Working in-house for charities I have delivered: anniversary storytelling; communications strategy workshops; website redesign; blog writing; impact reporting; graphic design; social media strategy; and campaign planning and delivery.
Through my course I completed: an internship at a major PR agency in 2025; a digital analytics project using advanced Excel; and several live client campaign plans.
Five things I bring to every project:
1. Creativity and strategic thinking
I balance high creativity with high organisation, and enjoying both is what draws me to communications work. I'm all about big ideas but ensuring they can still be executed brilliantly.
2. Continuous learning
Staying current is essential - in trends, technology, and professional practice. I engage in ongoing training and development relevant to marketing and sector skills, from TikTok strategy to trauma-informed practices.
3. An intersectional lens
Inclusion and accessibility shapes how I work, whether it's reaching wider demographics, improving digital accessibility or using culturally aware and sensitive language.
4. Curiosity
No one understands your brand and organisation like you do, so that’s my first job, and I love to hear about the work people are passionate about.
5. A relational and human approach
I always like to grab a coffee if possible, get to know each other a bit and build real rapport with my clients, so it feels like we're collaborating, not just a transaction.
